Happy Healing Therapy was founded by Jackie Mullis, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #120440), with the belief that every person holds the power to create lasting change. Even when life feels heavy or overwhelming, there is always a path forward. Therapy is a place to reconnect with your inner strength, break free from old patterns, and build a more fulfilling, empowered life.

 

Therapy is a big step, and reaching out for help is not always easy. But taking that first step shows courage and a commitment to oneself, and that’s something worth celebrating. Whether dealing with past traumas, feeling stuck in a current situation, or simply wanting to grow into the best version of themselves, we are here to help.

I love helping people heal, grow, and reconnect with their inner strength. Over the years, I've worked in a variety of settings (schools, courts, and community agencies) and that experience has shown me that healing doesn't look the same for everyone. Therapy should never be one-size-fits-all, so I tailor each session to meet you where you are.

My approach is rooted in collaboration, empathy, and genuine connection. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a partnership. We'll explore what's been hard, uncover what's already strong within you, and work toward the kind of life you want to live. I don't come in with an agenda. Instead, I listen deeply and help you make sense of your story, at your own pace.

I use Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), a holistic approach that blends proven psychological methods to help you heal from trauma. TIC supports emotional regulation, reduces stress, and addresses unhelpful thought patterns, while considering how past experiences and your social context shape your present. My approach is strengths-based, culturally sensitive, and focused on building resilience, growth, and empowerment. TIC provides therapy tailored to you—not a one-size-fits-all method. My work often focuses on helping folks recover from trauma, build self-esteem, and move through experiences of depression, dissociation, and the lasting impact of abuse or neglect.
